A New Chapter for America, A New Chapter for BBA
I think I'm still in shock....America actually has a President named Barack Hussein Obama! That is beautiful music to my ears. As recently as a couple years ago, I think most of us would have doubted such a thing was even possible within our lifetimes.
I know most of them mean well, but I hate hearing white people say things like, "I'm so happy for them. They finally have one of their own in the White House!" I know that Obama's victory means something to African-Americans that I can't even begin to imagine (especially those who lived through the "Jim Crow" era and the Civil Rights Movement). But at the same time, I'm a white guy and I too was moved to tears on Tuesday night, and I consider this a profound and transformative moment in history for all Americans (as well as those watching from around the globe).
Okay, I guess that's enough about politics for now. This is still a porn blog, after all

I have some exciting things in the works for the future of Black Boy Addictionz. It's looking more and more likely that I will launch a membership website in the near future, hopefully in January or February 2009 if all goes smoothly. I've never attempted anything like this before, so who knows?
I'm really excited about the possibilities, though, and I think this could be a really good thing for everyone involved. I've always felt like the intimate, amateur nature of my videos, with their relaxed pacing and focus on getting to know the models, was better suited to a membership website than DVD's, but I've always let myself get discouraged and intimidated by the technical pressures and financial risks involved in such a project. With a year's worth of DVD's under my belt, and the end of the year fast approaching, I feel like this is the right time for a big transition like this.
If the website's a success, I should be able to work with a greater number of guys and release hot new scenes more frequently and consistently. That should make just about everyone happy, especially those of you who like the idea of enjoying instant online access to my scenes on a regular basis. Rest assured that the style and content of my videos won't be changing dramatically....they will still more or less be homemade black-only and interracial vids starring fresh faces and featuring the types of scenes and themes that turn me on the most. The only real change will be in the way my customers have access to them.
I'm currently devoting most of my free time to taking some online courses in order to learn the basics of web design, since I can't really afford to hire a web designer. It's definitely challenging and even a little overwhelming at times, but I always love learning new things, and it's sort of exciting to discover this side of the business I've never really explored before.
If you're currently a member of any membership websites, or if you've been a member of such websites in the past, I'm eager to know what you look for in a good website, as well as the things you don't like. But seriously, don't censor yourself or stop yourself from saying things you want to say. Yeah, this is a porn blog but sex can be political. It all goes hand in hand. It's one of the things I like about you; that you mix it up. It's not just about the sex but everything else that goes along with it. Perhaps that's why I feel I've connected to you. That and we share the same things; a dream, a desire, a passion and David.
