Between A Rock And A Hard Place
I want to apologize for the long gap between website updates, and reassure all of BBA's loyal members and fans that I'm working hard behind the scenes to bring you fresh faces and new content in the weeks and months to come. In fact, there are some exciting changes taking place behind the scenes right now that I believe will take BBA to a whole new level in 2011.
Right now I'm busy filming new content and working my hardest to catch up after postponing production last month due to illness and other challenges behind the scenes. I've already filmed a couple *hot new straight guys* that I'm really excited about, and I can't wait to introduce them to you!
One of the problems I'm facing these days is that the site has become so notorious in my city's urban black community that it's almost inevitable a model will be "outed" within a couple weeks of his first scene going up on the site. Recently it's gotten to the point that I swear there are people who actually monitor BBA on a weekly basis just to see who they can expose and harass next. Nine times out of ten, it's some homophobic, gossip-hungry female or bitter, attention-starved queen who I guess find some kind of sadistic pleasure and escape from their shallow, pathetic lives by harassing and humiliating others.
Sure, the guys in my movies know the risks when they choose to do porn, but that doesn't mean they want (or deserve) to be exposed and harassed by everyone they know (many of whom can be quite hateful and cruel).
So I'm sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place, because on the one hand I know I need to update the site, but on the other hand when I find a new guy I really like, I obviously want to film him as much as possible while he's still ready and willing. Especially since I think I might be able to get at least one of these new straight guys to go "gay for pay" 
!
I'm just trying to look at the big picture, and I think I'd rather risk disappointing some of you in the short-term than lose a hot new model too soon and wonder "what if" for years to come. With any luck, you'll thank me for this approach eventually ....
Well, I have a busy weekend of filming ahead, but I'll be back with a new scene early next week! And if I can't squeeze in three new scenes before the end of February, I promise to make it up to you with an extra new scene next month! I think that one thing you might need to do is be a little more or in this case less public about the blog. I'm not sure if people are signing up as members to the actual site or just looking at the blog and seeing people they do or do not know. But I would say making sure that one would have to pay for content would help reduce any one from being outed quickly . Other than that . I would say that maybe the hunting grounds need to change as well. Maybe placing adds in other cities and towns in your state or even out of state might help you not only get fresh new faces but also cut down on the amount of harassment some of the models are facing. Just a thought hope that helps some.

I hear what you're saying about restricting previews of new models to paying members only. That would definitely help, because most of the problems aren't caused by actual BBA members. All people have to do is visit the blog, browse the preview section of the site, or read the text descriptions and that's enough ammunition for them to expose, humiliate, and harass BBA's models.
But it's a Catch-22 because without preview pics, very few people are going to join my site. I think I'd run into the same problem I'm having when I blur out some of the guys' faces in the preview section of the site, which is diminished sales because fewer people want to join a site on the mere promise or POSSIBILITY that the guy might be hot. And I can't say I blame them!
But since I'm far from being independently wealthy, I'm still totally dependent on the revenue from my website subscriptions to continue producing new content. Hence the Catch-22
I like your idea about changing my "hunting grounds." That is something I've been thinking about trying for awhile. I think that even taking some "road trips" around the Midwest (and maybe even other parts of the country) could be a fun way to minimize the risk of local drama while also bringing some variety and freshness to the site.

to be honest i don't see the appeal for all this "straight" and "gay for pay" stuff. i might be alone but i'd much rather see guilt free guys hungry for gay sex. the scenes with beno, tori, kenny, dragon, eureka, etc are SO much better than seeing a straight guy squirm and try and keep his lunch down.

Don't worry, I'm sure you're not alone. Gay porn focused on coercing, corrupting, and even converting straight guys definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea. But for a variety of reasons (many of which I've tried to explain on this blog), it's always been a HUGE turn-on for me. And something one very rarely sees in black gay porn, which makes BBA's "gay for pay" scenes fairly unique.
I hear what you're saying, however, and I'm also very much turned on by watching horny, masculine gay and bisexual black guys enjoying freaky, uninhibited, "guilt-free" sex with each other. And I plan to continue bringing you those types of scenes as well!

I think what you are doing is just fine. I agree that you have to know what your getting into. But I love this site wish the best for your company and I hope it grows and is more & more successful.
