Featured Erotic Story: D. Lowe's "Thug Passion - Thug Love"
It's been awhile since I've blogged about anything other than my own website and videos! Those of you who've been following this blog for awhile will remember that's something I used to do a lot back in the early days of the blog - and something I wish I had more free time to do more often! But today I wanted to take some time to recommend an exciting new erotic story/novel that a good friend and long-time BBA fan has recently published online.
Thug Passion - Thug Love tells the story of the complicated relationship between Tyree and Timmy, two attractive young black males living "DL" lives in New York, and their life experiences (sexual and otherwise) over the course of more than a decade. It's an engrossing and poignant love story that anyone who is currently living the "DL" life (or anyone who has ever been closeted at any point in their life) should easily be able to identify with and enjoy!

But trust me when I say that this story is MUCH, MUCH MORE than just a typical love story, or even a rivetingly authentic depiction of the "DL" lifestyle (which it definitely is). If that were all it was about, I wouldn't be recommending it here on the blog. I'm actually not even a fan of "love stories," at least not in the context of erotic fiction! Don't get me wrong - I always enjoy well-developed characters and believable storylines. But I'm usually much more interested in themes of reluctance, seduction, coercion, conquest, etc., and those themes typically don't go hand in hand with "love stories"
.This work of erotic fiction is refreshingly different, however. It strikes a rare and skillful balance between the development of complex, interesting characters and a serious "love story" vs. vivid, well-written, intensely arousing *hardcore sex scenes* that include many of those themes that turn me on the most.
The author truly understands and appreciates the powerful erotic appeal of themes like resistance, conquest, etc., especially when tangled up with things like heterosexuality, masculinity, manhood, pride, virginity, etc., especially as they're defined and defended to such extremes within black culture. The symbolic significance of one man giving up his ASS - that most private and protected and fiercely defended part of his body - to another man.

This story/novel brilliantly captures the excitement and anticipation and suspense involved in lusting after and pursuing another guy's ASS - and the themes of seduction, corruption, and conquest that make erotica so exciting to read!
In other words, if you're tempted to give up on the story after reading the first couple chapters, thinking it's just another conventional, predictable "love story" - don't do it!!! Trust me when I tell you this story takes some shockingly WICKED and TABOO twists and turns when you least expect them! The kind of moments when you think, "Surely he's not going to go there!" - and then find yourself pulling out your dick when he does
!Another thing that I love about this work is the author's impressive ear for dialogue. Most writers never seem to get that part right - the dialogue always feels fake and forced. ESPECIALLY when it comes to black characters. Most white writers who try to write dialogue between young black males only end up making fools of themselves and ruining their stories completely. And even many black writers struggle to get it right!
But this author has a rare gift for capturing in words the way these young brothers in Harlem talk, the natural rhythm and flow of everyday black slang. Reading the dialogue in this story, I felt like I was in the room listening to real people talking. I
can't think of a single instance in the entire story where I thought to myself, "No way that character would talk like that!" And because the dialogue sounds so natural and authentic, the characters are even more fully-developed and believable, which of course makes the actual sex even ten times hotter!

I've been lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the entire work before it was published, but it's been torture knowing this story existed and not being able to tell anyone else about it! Now that it's available online, I can finally praise it publicly and strongly encourage all of BBA's blog readers and fans to check out this impressive and unforgettable work of black gay erotica for yourselves!
