Hi, I just want to say that I have enjoyed this site on and off through the years. I know the basis of the site and it's cool to me that you are living out a fantasy and for that I commend you. The one thing that really turns me off are the petty arguments. It's almost as if watching elementary kids fight and we are all adults here. One of the main reasons I started this blog was to create a space for BBA's members and fans to share feedback and communicate with me and other blog readers. I knew that meant I would sometimes be exposed to complaints and critical feedback. I've always welcomed all types of feedback, as long as it's expressed in a respectful and constructive way. Thankfully, the vast majority of comments left on this blog fall into that category. I agree with you that "petty arguments" are not what BBA or this blog should be about, and I've tried to avoid them as much as possible.
In the case of DannyUK, a regular visitor to this blog for over two years, his negativity had become so pervasive and predictable that it was starting to be a bit of a bummer and even ruin my enjoyment of this blog. So I felt like it was finally time to let him know that his constant negativity was no longer welcome here on the blog.
I've been forced to develop a much thicker skin over the past couple years. I know that a site like BBA (or any porn site for that matter) will always have its share of critics and "haters." And as you pointed out, I sometimes even push the envelope and invite controversy with some of my scenes. I know that there will always be people who dislike and even despise my work, and I can respect their differing opinions and personal tastes.
But one thing I have very little patience or tolerance for are HYPOCRITES. Especially when it comes to porn. For example, the folks who post ugly, hateful comments on my X-Tube clips while adding those very same clips to their "Favorites," LOL. Or someone like "HeyNow" aka "Richard" who regularly subscribes to the site and secretly gets off on the interracial scenes, then turns around to condemn them here on the blog. You make an interesting point about treating my interracial scenes like watching straight porn. If you think about it, straight guys have been blocking out the men in straight porn for decades, LOL!
I honestly think a lot of this comes down to "tops" vs. "bottoms." When watching porn, I personally don't care how old or unattractive or even hung the "top" in a scene happens to be as long as the guy doing most of the sucking and being fucked is young, masculine, and attractive. I was a regular on this site until about 3 months ago. I have seen nothing that would make me rejoin. The irregularity of updates has gotten worse instead of better. Further, I prefer black on black scenes, but interracials were tolerable (it's your site!) when it was every now and then. However, interracials have become the norm which is a negative for me. I can understand that economics play a big part in that decision, but it is a major shift that I am sure has impacted the bottom line. Not being mean to anyone, just sharing my honest opinion.

The irregular update schedule was caused by my unusually busy travel schedule during the holiday season. Overall, I still think the consistency of updates has improved since becoming an independent site. Even when the update schedule is uneven, monthly subscribers still get to enjoy three original and usually LENGTHY new scenes a month. And now that the new year is underway, my schedule is finally settling down and updates should become more evenly spaced out again, with the goal of continued improvement in the months to come.
Concerning your point about the black-only vs. interracial scenes, my ideal goal has always been to offer a balance between the two types of scenes (with solo scenes mixed in on occasion), knowing there are many BBA fans who ONLY enjoy one category of scenes or the other. But striking a perfect balance isn't always possible, and over the past couple years I've noticed that this type of thing tends to go in phases. For example, there was a long stretch of updates last summer/early fall which were ALL black-only scenes, disappointing some of the members who only like my interracial scenes. Then that was followed by the past two or three months which have seen a higher number of interracial scenes. It honestly has less to do with economics and more to do with which models I happen to be working with at the time. For example, both Noah and Eddie actually PREFERRED doing scenes with me.
But I agree with your overall point that more balance and variety would be ideal, and that is something I will continue working hard to improve. Thanks again for the helpful feedback, and I hope I'll be able to win you back with some hot black-only scenes in the near future

I'm not looking for arguments. I just leave honest feedback. Michael ignores my positive comments and jumps down my throat at any criticism. When u charge a lot for membership u have to expect ppl will want to get value for money.

I'm a little confused by your point about the black-only scenes being more popular, since the "best scene" polls are actually split into separate categories for the solo, black-only, and interracial scenes. If anything, the poll results so far show that many of the scenes you either disliked or even refused to watch ("Kenny's Comeback," "Rico's Final Exam," "Tasting Trae," etc.) are among the most popular scenes of the year!
The main point I was trying to make in my earlier response is simply that you are never going to feel satisfied or "get value for your money" from a website where you think 90% of the site's themes and scenes are unwatchable and even morally objectionable. I understand and respect that you have drastically different tastes and preferences when it comes to porn. I do not understand why persons who have expressed dismay and displeasure over the updates for some time now continue to visit the site. It is one thing to give an opinion/constructive criticism. However, it is another thing to just be down right mean and I think some of the posts have just been mean spirited. How does the moral question come in when a consenting adult freely agrees to do something. They were not forced or coerced therefore ease off and give Michael a break.

Having said that, it's not really the main problem. And I've used the word sadist and voiced my disapproval at many black-only scenes in the past. Anyone who's been following this blog for any length of time knows that I have always WELCOMED critical feedback as long as it's expressed in a respectful and constructive way. In fact, many of the positive changes over the past year were the direct result of constructive feedback from BBA's viewers. Sadly, your recent comments don't even come close to falling into that category.
Like it or not, BBA always has been and always will be an *AMATEUR* site! It has never claimed to be anything else. If you want a cookie-cutter, assembly-line site that churns out predictable, professional-looking scenes week after week, starring the same tiny handful of over-exposed "porn stars" shared by almost all of the major black sites, then BBA ISN'T THE SITE FOR YOU.

There's a big difference between being an "angry customer" and just plain being an asshole when expressing your opinions here on the blog. There's actually some truth in a lot of what you're saying, but that truth gets drowned out by all of the condescension, sarcasm, and personal insults in most of your posts. Let's not forget that this whole exchange actually started with you calling me a "sadist" who likes to rape black boys. Not exactly the way to start a civil, constructive conversation, LOL!
But I realize we're probably never going to see eye to eye on your communication style. My temperament is probably better suited to a college classroom or polite dinner party, while you'd make a great talk radio host or Fox News commentator
I actually agree with you that there are problems with the handheld/tripod format used in most of my interracial scenes. I've already taken steps to fix this by having Beno do the filming for two of my interracial scenes last year ("Rico's Final Exam" and "Best of Both Worlds"). I returned to the original "tripod-style" approach for my encounter with Noah because that was the only way he'd agree to do the scene. He was just way too shy and nervous, and didn't feel comfortable having another guy in the room. In the case of D-Rel, I had no idea what working with him again after two long years would be like, and I didn't want to risk the potential stress and drama by inviting another model to be a part of the shoot.
Despite its drawbacks, I've found that there's a unique intimacy and sometimes even chemistry between me and the guys during the handheld/tripod scenes that sometimes gets lost when other people are present. Like most guys that age, they naturally become more self-conscious and inhibited around their peers, which can totally change the dynamic of a scene. Take "Craving Kenny," for example, arguably one of my best interracial scenes last year. I can guarantee you that Kenny would NEVER have come out of his shell and shown us his freaky, passionate side if a third person had been behind the camera filming his first (and only) encounter with me. So as you can see, the choice of which approach to take is a little more complicated than your comment would suggest.
Like another commenter wisely pointed out just a few days ago, the best way for me to respond to criticism is through my work, not my words. So stay tuned for continued growth and changes and progress in the new year ahead....
