February Funk

I know things have been pretty quiet around here lately, and I apologize for not communicating with everyone sooner.

My grandmother died during surgery last week and I just got back in town after being with family for most of the past week. I lost my grandfather and uncle last year, but this one has been even tougher for me to grieve and process because unlike my other grandparents when they died, or even my uncle who had suffered from Parkinson’s, my grandma was still mentally alert and physically active and so full of life. I had just been talking with her on the phone about the TV show “This Is Us” less than 24 hours before she died. And even though we knew the surgery involved some risk, none of us expected such a tragic outcome.

On the bright side, she was almost 88 years old and had lived a very full and happy life, so there’s at least some comfort in knowing that she died peacefully and without any of the suffering that would have come with a massive stroke or heart attack, etc. Of course the loss felt is no less intense.

Needless to say, this has disrupted and delayed my usual work and production schedule, but hopefully not too terribly much. I’m finally back in town and working hard to catch up and hopefully have our next new scene ready by some time later next week.

Thanks for your patience and understanding during this difficult time, and rest assured there are some big and exciting developments taking place behind the scenes as we do our best to bring you an epic Winter/Spring Season you will never forget!
