Important Announcement Re: BBA’s Spring “Break”

It’s hard to believe that we’re already nearing the end of March! Where has the time gone?!?

I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to interact on the blog lately as much as I’d like, but even though I might get quiet sometimes, you can rest assured that I’m still always reading and taking into consideration all of your feedback and requests.

I’m thrilled to see that most of you seem to be enjoying the exciting new faces we’ve been introducing lately (Julien, Zadian, Bandit, etc.), as well as such instant BBA classics as Saint thoroughly “breaking in” Apollo’s near-virgin ass and fan favorite Ross taking things to the next level and torturing his fans (in a good way) by letting us witness the NEXT BEST THING to his tight muscle-butt getting fucked.

There has been A LOT going on behind the scenes lately – mostly good, but some bad – and as the result of various circumstances beyond my control, such as not being able to film new content for most of last month due to illness, and this past weekend’s production plans getting canceled at the last minute due to one of the models getting locked up, I don’t have much choice other than to take a brief but necessary break from the usual update schedule for the next couple weeks.

The title of this post is somewhat misleading since it’s not really going to be much of a “break” for me or the models (I wish!). Most of my time and energy will be devoted to a special trip out of state for some filming, as well as attending an adult industry conference with one of the models later next week. All of this as part of an ongoing effort to learn, grow, and evolve into the best website/studio that BBA can possibly be, while continuing to bring you fresh faces and high-quality, unforgettable amateur porn starring the hottest black guys around for many more years to come!

I apologize for any inconvenience and (short-lived) disappointment that I’m sure this will cause many of you. But on the bright side, if all goes well, I’ll be back to kick off the month of April in just two short weeks with a new sizzling-hot scene and some exciting surprises in store for BBA’s upcoming Spring Season!

Cast Your Votes For The Best of BBA 2015!

You’ve seen my own personal picks for the best scenes from last year. Now it’s YOUR TURN to let me know what you think by choosing YOUR favorite models and scenes from 2015! You’ll be able to see the voting results in live time to compare your own personal favorites with the rest of BBA’s members and fans.

To keep things as fair and accurate as possible, you’re only allowed to vote once, so please take your time and choose your answers carefully. I’ve made a special exception for the “Favorite Black-Only Scene” category since there are so many scenes to choose from in that category. You can choose your top THREE scenes in that particular category.

While I’ve included the scenes starring Knockout and Staxx, I decided not to include them in the model categories since they’re special guest “porn stars” and I didn’t think it would be fair to put them up against BBA’s regular amateur models.

Michael Galletta Counts Down BBA’s Ten Best Scenes of 2015

Every year I’m asked by fans how I can possibly meet or exceed the high standard set by the previous year, and every year it feels like an impossible task.

After a year that had introduced Isaiah and his shocking “gay for pay” journey leading all the way up to him finally giving up his ass, the long-awaited “reunion” between D-Rel and Suspense, and Freaky J‘s “epidemic” gay porn debut, I thought for sure there was nowhere to go but DOWN heading into the new year.

Now that I’m looking back at the new models and scenes from this past year, and planning for the new year to come, I’m relieved and proud to be able to say that 2015 was almost certainly BBA’s best year so far!

For starters, I can’t recall any prior year that has introduced *so many* stand-out performers who so quickly won us over and earned their spots among BBA’s most popular performers. Of course the epitome of this was our new star Apollo, whose striking good looks, flawless muscular body, and eagerness to please propelled him to BBA stardom practically overnight. If you’d told me earlier last year that 2015 would also introduce models to RIVAL Apollo’s popularity and charm, I would have said you were crazy! Yet somehow the year also miraculously included the discoveries of Blake Bishop and Ross, both of whom will no doubt give Apollo a run for his money in the vote for “favorite new model” of the year!

Whether it was Noah returning after over two years, or Rico finally getting fucked again and like never before, 2015 also saw the surprising returns of several much-missed fan favorites that many of us (myself included) had all but given up hope of ever seeing again!

Of course the MUST-SEE highlights of the year, and the scenes that had everyone talking, were the “taking down” of not just one but TWO of black gay porn’s most attractive and popular “tops”!

Which brings me to my list of BBA’s Ten Best Scenes of 2015, the scenes which for a variety of reasons explained below are the ones that kept me “cumming” back for repeat viewings again and again, and stood out from the crowded pack as my proudest achievements and personal favorites:

All Bets Are OffI’ve been pursuing “strict tops” for over six years, and I have honestly never encountered anyone as stubbornly resistant to the idea of “bottoming” on camera as Staxx. His First Straight BoyFilmed as a kind of “bonus” scene from my Atlanta visit and greatly underestimated by me at the time it was filmed, this scene turned out to be many viewers’ favorite, and one of my personal favorites as well! Hot as they were, none of Isaiah’s previous “bottoming” efforts gave us any indication that he had this performance within him, simmering just under the surface. Isaiah will probably always be somewhat stoic and stiff, but this was definitely the closest to “unleashed” we’ve seen him so far – and boy, was it a sight to behold! Blog Disappearance & Email Issues

Over the weekend, some of you might have tried to visit the blog only to find that it had mysteriously disappeared. Long story short, the BBA blog and email accounts are hosted on a separate server from the new website, and the hosting company that manages that server recently upgraded everything to a brand-new server without letting me know in advance, which unfortunately led to the blog being down over the weekend and the site’s email accounts not working for the past 24 to 48 hours.

All blog comments posted over the weekend seem to have been lost during this transition, so if you left a blog comment on the most recent scene, please take a minute to post it again if it’s not too much trouble. If you’ve tried communicating with me by email over the past 24 hours or so and not yet received a response, please try sending your email again and it should now work.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and everything now seems to be up and running like normal again. Again, this had no impact on the actual website and only affected this blog and the site’s email accounts.

City BwoyMany of you have no doubt already heard the tragic news that popular “porn star” City Bwoy died earlier this week.

City Bwoy was a true icon in the black gay porn industry – a real “porn star” in every sense of the word. I was a fan of his work long before I began making my own movies and eventually had the unforgettable opportunity of working with him.

Jovonnie might have had those hypnotic pretty-boy looks that made him a star overnight, but I always preferred City Bwoy for some reason. He had a quiet confidence and down-to-earth sex appeal that is hard to describe, and like millions of other viewers all over the world, I have enjoyed his scenes many times over the years.

As most of you know, I had the privilege of meeting and working with City Bwoy in person several years ago. As a special favor to his good friend Lil Tyga, City Bwoy agreed to come out of retirement for a shoot with BBA that turned out to be a unique experience I will never forget.

Here’s what I had to say on the BBA blog around that time about the experience of working with one of my favorite “porn stars”:

I had a lot of anxiety going into that scene. Not only was I feeling the pressure of my first scene back after several months, but it was also my first scene with the new HD camera AND my first time working with an official “porn star” – and not just any “porn star,” one of the biggest names in the business!

I was worried that he might turn out to be some kind of porn “diva” who’d be intimidating and/or difficult to work with, but nothing could be further from the truth! He was friendly, laid-back, and extremely easy to work with. He spoiled me with that beautiful, “made for porn” dick which seemed to get (and STAY) hard on cue, plus the way he helped me get the best positions and angles without needing any directing from me.

I didn’t have much contact with City Bwoy after that, but I will never forget his surprising humility and positive energy from that night. He was quite honestly one of the nicest guys I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. His performance (and off-camera mentoring) brought the best out of Lil Tyga and helped propel his young protegee to the next level of popularity as a performer. And if it hadn’t been for City Bwoy’s easygoing and encouraging spirit that night, I probably never would have had the courage and confidence to pursue other special guest “porn stars” over the years.

Even though he’d moved on to other endeavors over the past several years, City Bwoy’s death is a great loss to the industry and anyone who has ever been entertained by his impressive body of work.
