Coming Soon: The Competition (Five Years Later)

Ever since we first witnessed the awkward, hilarious, and erotically entertaining “competition” between “straight” college buddies D-Rel and Suspense over five years ago, viewers have scolded me for not pushing them to go further, and wondered what might have happened if I had. Some of you gave up on seeing this fantasy “sequel” a long time ago, while others have continued to ask me about it on a regular basis.

As most of you already know, I’m usually very patient and persistent when it comes to these things. But I can honestly say that after at least a dozen or more unsuccessful attempts at reuniting D-Rel with Suspense – either one of the guys would be willing but the other guy would be unavailable or unwilling, or D-Rel would reluctantly agree to do it and then back out at the very last minute – I’d pretty much given up hope of this much-requested “reunion” ever happening. Sadly, this just seemed like one of those scenes that wasn’t meant to be….

Hard as it is to believe, it’s now been over five years since the “competition” that over time has become a BBA classic, and reuniting these two college friends seemed like a great way to celebrate BBA’s 5th Anniversary.

Aside from stumbling into one other at the train station a few months ago, D-Rel and Suspense haven’t stayed in touch or seen each other in over four years. When Suspense recently came out of retirement (again!) for his shockingly impressive encounter with Migo, and right around the same time D-Rel contacted me out of the blue asking for work, the timing finally seemed right and I decided to give this much-requested “sequel” one final attempt.

To be completely honest, until both guys actually showed up for the shoot, I seriously doubted this time would be any different….

Website Update: Foster Home Reunion

One of the things I’ve learned in the past five years of making amateur porn is that many times the best scenes are the ones that aren’t planned! A perfect example of this is the surprising real-life story behind my most recent scene:

When brand-new model King first showed up for what was originally supposed to be a group scene, he had no idea what to expect or who his scene partners would be. It wasn’t until I introduced him to veteran BBA model Beno that I found out they already knew each other and shared an interesting past.

It turned out that Beno and King had actually lived in the same foster home a long time ago! Michael In The Movies

I just wanted to take a moment and respond to the recent complaints from several of you about my participation in some of the scenes.

BBA has always featured a wide variety of models and themes. In an older blog entry, I compared my diverse collection of movies to an all-you-can-eat buffet.

I realize that this variety can be frustrating for viewers who only enjoy one type of scene or another. Some people love the interracial and “gay for pay” scenes but think the black-only scenes are conventional and boring. Other people enjoy the black-only scenes but think my interracial scenes are unappealing and even offensive.

At the end of the day, everyone has different tastes and I am never going to be able to please every viewer all of the time!

Anyone who’s been following my work from the very beginning knows that one of BBA’s basic themes has always been the taboo fantasy of an older white man exploring his “addiction” to younger black males….and more uniquely, his addiction to young black male ass (“white men need ass too!”).

As I clearly advertise in the site’s preview area: “If you’re turned on by the idea of an older white cameraman enjoying the ripe young bodies of his black-boy models, I’m confident you’ll enjoy my movies!”

Now I can certainly understand and respect that these types of scenes are not going to be everybody’s cup of tea. My interracial scenes always have been and always will be controversial. The recent comments left by some of you on the blog are actually pretty mild and tame compared to some of the hostile things I’ve heard over the years.

Although this blog is primarily devoted to my videos, from time to time I like to share random bits and pieces of gay erotica that have inspired my sexual fantasies and in some cases even influenced my own pornographic imagination and ambitions. If you’re a fan of my videos, I’m guessing that means we probably also share at least a few of the same fantasies, fetishes, “types,” etc., so hopefully some of you will enjoy these posts as well.

A few months ago I discovered Oliver Frey, an artist who created countless works of gay illustrated erotica during the 1970’s and 80’s, and I knew instantly that I’d stumbled upon one of my true erotic soulmates. The guy is an erotic genius if you ask me. His illustrations are breathtaking not only in their generous attention to detail, but also their ability to use a kind of visual shorthand to tap directly into some of my deepest and most intense erotic desires.

It’s truly uncanny how many of his recurring sexual themes and fetishes overlap with my own: younger guys, older guys with teenagers/younger guys, historical themes, rough sex, seduction/coercion, first-times/virgins, interracial, ass-eating, etc. Looking over his many works, I find myself wishing I had his talent and freedom to create erotica unencumbered by the pressures and limitations and logistics of real-life amateur porn.

Another Reason To Watch the Olympics….

I’ve really been getting into the Olympics this weekend.

At first, watching these physically flawless athletes performing one incredible feat after another just makes me feel like an out-of-shape, lazy, worthless excuse for a human being. I see the ambition, determination, and self-discipline of these athletes who devote every waking hour of every day of their lives for years to train their bodies and perfect their athletic skills….and then I think about how much “fast food” I eat, and all my bad couch-potato habits, and how sometimes it’s even hard for me to find the time and motivation to film an amateur porn video for cryin’ out loud, and of course I end up feeling like a big loser.

Once I get past all the self-loathing, however, I’m able to relax and enjoy the spectacle and suspense and drama of the whole thing. I didn’t think I was going to get drawn into it this time around, but so far I’m hooked.

But the thrill of the competition, the human drama, the national pride, and all of that other high-minded crap is only part of the Olympics’ entertainment value for me. I’m not going to lie, half the time I’m drooling over some cute young gymnast’s ass or desperately hoping that NBC has at least one gay cameraman who will give us a close-up shot of Michael Phelps’ soaking-wet Speedos as he jumps out of the pool after a race 😉 .

So you can imagine what a pleasant surprise it was to stumble across Cullen Jones, the only black guy on the U.S. men’s Olympic swim team, and as of earlier tonight, only the second African-American swimmer to win a Gold medal.

I was expecting plenty of eye-candy….watching an international spectacle like the Olympics really reminds me just how many specimens of stunning male beauty there are around the globe. But a black guy? On the swim team?!? So much for the stereotypes, LOL!

As you can tell from the photos below, he’s a real hottie for sure. He has a flawless body, beautiful skin, perfect teeth, and a sexy smile….
