Coming Soon: King Ant’s Gay Porn Debut!

BBA’s “Consistency” Catch-22

Almost ten years into this crazy adventure called BBA, I think it’s safe to say that keeping to a consistent update schedule isn’t exactly one of my strengths, LOL. And quite honestly, unless BBA sells out and turns into some corporate mega porn site one of these days, I think this will probably always be the case.

That’s not to say I won’t continue striving to grow and improve in this area. I know it’s a source of great frustration for many of you. But I think it’s also worth pointing out the “Catch 22” at play here: the very same “inconsistency” many of you complain about also tends to go hand in hand with the kind of unique, lengthy content you clearly crave and are impatient to see.

It’s clear from some of the recent complaints that many of you still seem to have a VERY naive and unrealistic misconception that BBA’s scenes are somehow cheap, fast, and easy to make, and/or that I’m just sadistically sitting on a pile of completed scenes for the hell of it, when nothing could be further from the truth!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: BBA’s scenes aren’t the kind of product that can be churned out by some factory assembly line week after week. At least not the kind of content I’m interested in making!

If you want forgettable 15-minute scenes featuring the same over-exposed “porn stars” over and over, then there are plenty of other sites that can offer you that like clockwork at the same exact time every week. And usually charge you MORE for it in the process. I could EASILY update BBA at the same exact time week after week if I was settling for that same sloppy standard.

I understand that BBA’s monthly subscribers are paying their hard-earned money with an expectation of new scenes in return. And as a long-time porn consumer myself, I know it’s never fun to have to wait for new updates.

But at the end of the day, I am ALWAYS going to prioritize creating the hottest possible content over sticking to some arbitrary and creatively restrictive schedule. What happened last weekend is a perfect example of this.

Whenever I’ve been unable to fulfill my end of the bargain, which has admittedly been more often than I’d like, I’ve always offered complimentary extensions or made it up to our loyal monthly subscribers with extra content the following month. For example, I’m currently working hard behind the scenes to post FOUR updates this month as promised to make up for the lack of a third update last month. (Still not sure exactly when the next one will be ready, but likely around the middle of next week, possibly with another to follow shortly after that). (more…)

Michael’s Choice

If you’ve been following us on social media over the past week (Twitter: @BBAddictionz, Instagram: @OfficialBlackBoyAddictionz, Tumblr: @BlackBoyAddictionz), then you already know we’ve been out of town filming for over a week with some of your favorite BBA models, as well as some exciting new faces we can’t wait for you to meet.

Our original plan was to have the first of these scenes edited and ready to share with you by now. (We’ve posted a few teaser pics to “wet” your appetite lol).

But we were faced with a difficult and unexpected decision when we met a VERY sexy new straight boy near the end of our scheduled visit: Extend our stay by a couple extra days for some spontaneous additional filming, even if that meant postponing the release of our next scene, or return home as planned to edit one of the scenes we’d already filmed and just gamble that the new boy would still be available and interested the next time that we were in town?

Long story short, we decided to “strike while the iron’s hot,” even though we knew that would mean releasing our next scene a few days later than planned.

On the bright side, we’re FINALLY back home from an insanely busy and exhausting but also fun and productive week of filming, and will be working around the clock to get the first of these hot new scenes ready to share with you as soon as we can!

Down….But Not Out!

Those of you who share my love for college basketball, and even some of you who don’t, will no doubt have heard by now about last night’s historic upset.

For those of you who don’t follow March Madness, it was the very first time in the history of the NCAA college basketball tournament that a #16 seed (University of Maryland Baltimore County) beat a #1 seed (Virginia).  In other words, a school most people had never even heard of defeated and humiliated what was supposed to be the best team in the country (and busted my personal bracket in the process, LOL).

Reacting to the historic and devastating loss with what I thought was impressive humility and class, Virginia’s coach Tony Bennett had the following to say:

I told our guys, we had a historic season. A historic season in terms of most wins in the ACC. A week ago we’re cutting down the nets and the confetti is falling. And then we make history by being the first one-seed to lose. I’m sure a lot of people will be happy about that. And it stings. I told the guys, this is life. It can’t define you. You enjoyed the good times and you gotta be able to take the bad times. When you step into the arena, the consequences can be historic losses, tough losses, great wins, and you have to deal with it. That’s the job.

Sports are often a good metaphor for life, and I couldn’t help but relate Coach Bennett’s wise words to BBA’s own unexpected struggles these past couple months.

Official Fan Favorites from 2017

Despite our best efforts, just about everything that could possibly go wrong to sabotage our hot plans has happened these past couple weeks. It’s been disappointing and frustrating to say the least. But we’re not giving up, and new updates will hopefully still be resuming later this month (don’t have an exact date for you yet). As previously announced, all active memberships have been credited with a free month.

I’ve been so stressed out about getting the new Spring season underway that I almost forgot to announce these official results for your favorite models and scenes from last year.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote! As we continue working hard behind the scenes to bring you fresh faces and film exciting new scenes, it’s interesting and helpful (and sometimes surprising) seeing which models and scenes you enjoyed the most from last year.

The polls have closed, the results are now in, and below are your official fan favorites from 2017:

Favorite Solo Scene: Trapp – Testing The Waters
(Runner-Up: Private Sessions – Staxx)

Favorite Gay/Bi Scene: New Best Friend
(Runner-Up: New York Nights – Stylez Surrenders)

Favorite Gay for Pay Scene: Naughty Or Nice?
(Runner-Up: Detroit After Dark – Episode One)

Due to continuing production delays and setbacks behind the scenes, we still don’t have any new scenes for you yet and honestly not sure when the regular schedule will be ready to resume.

While we continue striving to get production successfully back into full swing as quickly as possible, I’ve asked CCBill to credit all current/active BBA members with a *FREE MONTH* to make up for this understandably disappointing delay between updates. The regular update schedule will hopefully pick back up within the next couple weeks.

Please be aware that it can sometimes take CCBill a couple weeks to fully process all extensions, so if your membership expires and/or you have any questions about this extension, please feel free to contact Montez directly at montez@blackboyaddictionz.com.

Thanks again for your patience and continued words of encouragement during this regrettably slow start to the year, and please rest assured we’re doing everything we possibly can to bring you fresh faces and hot surprises for BBA’s upcoming Spring Season.

Hopefully the next time you hear from me, it will be with some GOOD news for a change 😉 !

When It Rains….

I want to start by thanking everyone for the outpouring of encouragement and support through social media, emails, comments, etc., during this recent difficult time. I’ve always bragged that BBA has some of the best fans in the business, and you guys really proved that to me once again these past couple weeks.

I tried to show my appreciation with last week’s hot and lengthy new threesome taking Trapp to a shocking new level, and I’m glad that so many of you seem to be loving that one so far.

Unfortunately, I came down with a bad cold when I got back in town, and that along with some other frustrating complications and delays behind the scenes has only further disrupted my normal production routine.

After lots of cough drops, hot tea, and rest, I’m finally feeling ALMOST back to my normal self and working hard to catch up and bring you some hot new content as quickly as possible. But unfortunately it’s not going to be in time for this weekend, and realistically not until some time later next week.

If you’re a regular monthly subscriber and still haven’t received your three promised updates for February by the first full week in March, please contact Montez at montez@blackboyaddictionz.com and he’ll be able to add extra time to your membership or provide you with complimentary credits to make up for the delay.

Thanks for your continued patience and understanding during this regrettably slow start to the new year. Wish us luck with the filming, and hopefully we’ll have some fresh faces and fun surprises for you soon!

February Funk

I know things have been pretty quiet around here lately, and I apologize for not communicating with everyone sooner.

My grandmother died during surgery last week and I just got back in town after being with family for most of the past week. I lost my grandfather and uncle last year, but this one has been even tougher for me to grieve and process because unlike my other grandparents when they died, or even my uncle who had suffered from Parkinson’s, my grandma was still mentally alert and physically active and so full of life. I had just been talking with her on the phone about the TV show “This Is Us” less than 24 hours before she died. And even though we knew the surgery involved some risk, none of us expected such a tragic outcome.

On the bright side, she was almost 88 years old and had lived a very full and happy life, so there’s at least some comfort in knowing that she died peacefully and without any of the suffering that would have come with a massive stroke or heart attack, etc. Of course the loss felt is no less intense.

Needless to say, this has disrupted and delayed my usual work and production schedule, but hopefully not too terribly much. I’m finally back in town and working hard to catch up and hopefully have our next new scene ready by some time later next week.

Thanks for your patience and understanding during this difficult time, and rest assured there are some big and exciting developments taking place behind the scenes as we do our best to bring you an epic Winter/Spring Season you will never forget!

Important Announcement: Montez Joins BBA As Full-Time Manager & Marketing Director

As the new year gets underway, I just wanted to take a moment to share some exciting news and major changes taking place behind the scenes.

By now, most of you have at least heard of Montez, and even “met” him through his entertaining cameos in the Detroit After Dark series and Halloween Party. A long-time BBA fan going all the way back to the early Blue Futon days of Jay and Cortez, Montez first began corresponding with me by email back in the summer of 2014 about a shared social media crush. This led to more serious conversations about BBA’s lack of social media (other than this blog), and Montez generously volunteering to help us change that.

Taking on the role of BBA’s Marketing Director, Montez launched the BBA Tumblr and built it from scratch into a popular and entertaining resource for BBA-related news, previews, gifs, contests, and feedback for a large and ever-growing number of followers.

More recently, he started BBA’s Instagram and Twitter accounts, and organized our first public appearance at Detroit’s Hotter Than July Pride last summer. He has also played a pivotal role in bringing fan favorites like Blake Bishop, Shazeer, Rico Pruitt, and Manny Killa to the site.

With his skills and years of experience in both marketing and business management, Montez has not only proven himself to be an invaluable asset to the BBA team, but he has also become a close and trusted personal friend.

In an industry with a reputation for shady dealings and shameless back-stabbing, the kind of mutual loyalty, professionalism, and TRUST I’ve found with Montez is a truly rare and treasured thing. And when Montez recently came to a crossroads in his own career, it presented the perfect opportunity for me to finally offer him a position as BBA’s very first full-time salaried staff. (more…)
